Autumn

Today’s post features a hat that I think I wear way too much, but whatever. There aren’t that many good hats in SL that are versatile with many styles of hair, so I latched onto this one when it came out a couple of years ago from Celoe, and proves to (as you all have seen) still be one of my favourite pieces. The glasses from Epoque and the bracelet from Amiari are also items I often wear around the grid, and you’ve probably noticed me featuring them in many of my posts lately.

I initially thought against blogging this look, because of this fact that I wear these items too often, but my blog isn’t directed at being specific to new releases at the moment, so I thought I’d share nonetheless.

This coat by Vive Nine Ryvolter, a late release at the Uber event comes in a fantastic array of fabric styles and patterns, and definitely worth the 400L price tag. It works perfectly with Celoe’s Kenya dress that was released for the Safari Chic round of Collabor88 earlier this summer.

Friday’s new Zoe heels in the colour Autumn are absolutely darling. Can you guess why I like them? I only recently picked up the SLink high feet, but I have been picking up so many beautiful shoes for them lately that I’m super happy I finally got around to getting them.

I figured that this outfit was about reusing things and adding a couple new items to it, so I headed back to my favourite sim, Mayfair, to take this picture outside the Irish pub! I’m a wee bit tipsy now, I tell you.

I hope you’re having a fantastic hump day, and thanks for stopping by!

Black is The Colour

I’m back with another Uber post!

I’ve been listening to The Walking Dead soundtrack today and wanted to do something high fashion but slightly grittier. The scene, from Wavie Haller of Consignment’s new shelter worked perfectly with this look, which features new items from Baiastice’s Sissy Pessoa, Maxi Gossamer, and also an old Collabor88 item from Maitreya; and in its entirety is brilliantly and lovingly created, complete with optional furniture. I noticed that Wavie included many little nods to The Walking Dead’s AMC show, which any of you die-hard fans (I like punning a lot lately) will notice if you look close enough.

Terminus, anyone?

The Last of Us

Uber’s new round is upon us, and what a fantastic round it is!

With the theme of an apocalypse, Uber’s designers have seriously dug into their creative outlets and pulled out some fantastic creations ranging from clothing, to furniture and even set pieces!

This jacket from Xin, which is actually a male jacket, works well as a unisex piece for females with a smaller chest, It comes with a fantastic variety of options in a sleek, well designed HUD, and I spent around 10 minutes just playing with the colour options to figure out what I liked best.

The Ukai’s set by Maxi Gossamer is absolutely fantastic and works perfectly with the bang on trend boots by Deadwool that have filled an empty space in my inventory. I love them.

I’ll be sharing pictures of my other looks over on my Flickr over the next couple of days, but in the mean time check out this sneak preview from yours truly of the Uber sim this round!

Happy shopping!

Clueless ft. Xanthe

Hi, guys! Today I’m bringing you my first collaboration post, and what better person to work alongside than the fabulous Xanthe!

The both of us have been speaking about doing this post for a while, and today everything seemed to fall into place when we both realised we were wearing 90s-esque looks! It’s always such a fun experience working alongside another blogger as it brings out a further sense of creativity to create something truly special and different from the norm.

My look was originally inspired by Phoebe from Friends, but seems to have morphed into an adult’s version of something a kid would have worn in the fabulously awesome 90s. Perhaps I’m partial, I was born in ’92, after all. I don’t miss those god awful skorts though. Never, ever.

The hair that I’m wearing also wasn’t planned. I originally intended to wear the Hall hair from LeLutka’s latest release, but Kavar Cleanslate sent out the blogger copies of this beautiful updo that will be released on The Arcade’s Anniversary round, September 1st. There’s a couple of sparkley versions to play for, so make sure to head down and gacha your little heart out for those!

I’ve had an awesome time working on this little project with Xanthe today, and am looking forward to working with other bloggers in the future!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Chelsea

Today’s post was inspired by my friend from the UK and I chatting about British reality show, ‘Made in Chelsea’ which follows a group of wealthy young people throughout their lives in the ‘fancy’ quarter of London, documenting their dramas and relationships.

With Vive Nine’s new collection release yesterday, the new pieces available at the store seemed like a perfect opportunity to doll up and shoot a couple of city pictures. They have a plethora of new items available, ranging from shoes through to accessories, hair, and clothing galore. They’re situated in a fabulous Rodeo Drive-esque area, complete with other little boutique shops to check out whilst you’re there.

SLink also released a new updated for their mesh Physique body today. There had been a bug which made it look as if you’d been slashed across the throat, leaving your head bobbing around on its own, disconnected from the rest of the body. Siddean fixed this issue incredibly quickly, however, and I am now extremely happy to be using the newly updated HUD and skin options.

Dr. Facilier

The Fantasy Collective’s theme this month is New Orleans, and as soon as I looked around at the wonderful creations this month I knew exactly what it was that I wanted to do a blog post on today: Disney.

There’s no princesses here, however. We’re heading on to The Other Side with a outfit inspired by Dr. Facilier, the Voodoo doctor.

Putting together this look actually proved to be quite difficult due to one teeny tiny annoying piece that seems to be hidden away in the darkest corners of the SL market- waistcoats. I think it’s a vest in American terminology, but those little things that men wear with three-piece suits. Dr. Facilier wears a purple one, but unless I wanted to wear a base clothing layer (impossible as I now wear SLink’s physique all the time) it wasn’t something I could do. ISON saved me at the last minute with their Razzle vest that I found on the Marketplace. Thank you, Harry Hyx!

Finally, I’d just like to add a little bit about these shoes. I was sent these a couple of weeks back by Bushu to review, but at the time didn’t have the SLink high feet. They’re materials enabled and are super cute, I’ve been wearing them around in their fabulous multitude of colours, but I thought a simple black worked well for this look, considering I don’t look as good in spats as the real Dr. Facilier does.

I hope you enjoy today’s look, I’m incredibly happy with how it turned out!
